Selenthia Jeffers spent seventeen years in the telecommunication industry - starting in sales and advancing to being a nationally recognized multi-store manager. During that tenure, she opened new stores and flipped poor-performing ones. She had high retention and provided pathways for her team members to move into leadership roles. Paramount to her success was her ability to foster relationships with colleagues, as well as to ensure representation was reflected on her teams. This created a culture where staff looked forward to working together and felt a sense of belonging. Furthermore, the profits her stores brought in consistently outperformed the competition when it came to the bottom line.
As Selenthia advanced in her career, she realized how much work remains in the industry and in other sectors to create inclusive spaces. Having had success in this arena, she decided to pivot her career and begin coaching and consulting to assist others in improving organizational culture.

Barb has nearly twenty years of experience in education. From the early days as a para-educator to becoming a college access counselor to a Director of Student Support Services and most recently as a Culture and Climate Transformation Specialist, Barb learned how to advocate for the marginalized students and families she served from all levels and created sustainable programming to address systemic issues. Her undergraduate degree is in Business Management from Buena Vista University, and she has her Master’s Degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Barb grew up on a rural northwest Iowa farm. Every family member she knew on both her mother's and father’s side were farmers. Despite limited exposure in childhood to diversity or travel, she always knew there was “more to see and know.” Thus her career allowed her the opportunity to learn from students, families, and co-workers of different races, cultures, religions, abilities, identities, and backgrounds. She developed a passion for social justice and advocacy work, which became paramount in her success in education. Barb strives to surround herself with diverse people to enhance their impact, as she greatly values people’s lived experiences in driving work. For this reason, she now provides diversity, equity, and inclusion coaching and consulting to educational leaders, non-profits, and others as requested.
